Most of us have family to support the big transitions in life. When our foster youth come into adulthood from foster care, they don’t have the kind of support to find an apartment or get ready for their first real job interview. Our goal is to help fill that gap, even if just a little.
The obstacles that foster care youth face are real. The odds are against those in the system, and The Sara Start Fund wants to flip the tables.
The difference these young men and women can make is significant. We believe those who have been in the foster care system have the ability to change it, making a better future for foster youth nationwide.
Through our Saturday Sessions, The Sara Start Fund invests in these young interns with dedicated mentoring, professional development and life skill programs.
