Lindsay Ellenbogen and Grandma Sara Rosenberg, the inspiration for the Sara Start Fund.

Through professional development, dedicated mentoring and a stipend for a business wardrobe, The Sara Start Fund assists foster youth who are leaving foster care and entering adulthood on their own. We help foster youth transition from high school to college and from college to the work force.

We work with smart, focused teens and young adults who are willing to spend part of their weekend with us to learn. Sara Start Fund events, typically held on Saturdays, explore life skills and highlight different aspects of professionalism. Our dynamic “Saturday Sessions” incorporate lessons from the area’s top professionals and are held on location at their place of business, giving our “mentees” up-close, behind-the-scenes access. Saturday Sessions focus on such topics as dressing for the office, strategic storytelling, financial literacy, resume/interview skills and cultural enrichment.

The Sara Start Fund is a project of the Charitable Partnership Fund a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, EIN 931267966.
